Sr. Project Manager

Title: Sr. Project Manager Location: Houston, TX Duration: long-term contract Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holder, or Authorized to Work in the US We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with at least 10 years of experience managing projects in large enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structured SDLC processes and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, depending on size and complexity. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee multiple IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Utilize formal project management methodologies, including project tracking, risk management, stakeholder analysis, and status reporting. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution. Communicate project updates and status reports effectively to stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams. Ensure compliance with SDLC processes and best practices. Work closely with business and technical teams to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Utilize Smartsheet for project tracking (experience is a plus but not required – training can be provided). Required Qualifications: 10 years of IT project management experience in large enterprise settings. Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, adapting to shifting priorities and complexities. Strong understanding of structured SDLC processes and all project management execution practices. Expertise in formal project tracking, risk management, stakeholder analysis, and status reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Smartsheet for project tracking. PMP or other project management certification. Experience in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
