What you will do: As a Global Programs Manager, you will develop and implement project plans for large concurrent projects within Global Sourcing & Procurement (GS&P), focusing on setting milestones, identifying resources, and managing interdependencies to achieve timely project objectives. You will collaborate with GS&P leaders and the strategic planning team, managing stakeholder relationships and leveraging best practices to enhance project management. Your role will involve providing leadership, resolving roadblocks, facilitating communication, and coordinating Strategic Initiative and Value Driver meetings. Additionally, you will gather project information for reports, manage change control processes, and maintain a repository of project documentation, requiring strong project management skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities and excellent interpersonal capabilities. The Global Programs Manager is responsible for supporting activities outlined below: Duties and Responsibilities: Supports the development and implementation of comprehensive project plans for large concurrent projects within Global Sourcing & Procurement (GS&P), including setting milestones, identifying required resources, establishing interdependencies, and establishing cross-project timelines to ensure project objectives are delivered on time. Partners, collaborates and consults with GS&P leaders, the management team, and the GS&P strategic planning team to develop plans to execute and achieve project/program requirements. Develops and manages relationships with GS&P leaders, management team and project teams to ensure that the projects are supported with the appropriate resources to meet identified needs. Partners with GS&P teams and leverages industry best practices to assist in the development, delivery and maintenance of project management standards/methods, tools, documentation and training to support the ongoing development of strategic project management capabilities within GS&P Provides project management leadership and guidance to the team to help build knowledge and skill capability to manage various projects more effectively and efficiently. Accountable for identifying project roadblocks and issues and partnering with Leaders and Management Team members to develop solutions and mitigate risks, escalating to the Leaders and Governance Committee when required to ensure project goals are met. Partners with the strategic project lead and team members to influence and guides multiple concurrent tasks, appropriately assess assigned activities' priorities, and ensures integration of all dependent projects. Coordinates and tracks Strategic Initiative and Value Driver meetings. Supports timely and effective project communications by partnering with the Leadership and Management team, supporting regular progress meetings, and preparing and presenting regular progress updates. Works closely with other key functions as needed (ex., Finance, IT, etc.) to ensure the project remains on track. Facilitates gathering project-related information to create reports (KPI, Executive Summary) to monitor and report on the execution of project plans and their resources and capacity. Manages project change control process with leaders and team members, ensuring any requested changes to scope are reviewed to assess the impact on schedule, cost and resources. Builds and manages a repository of all relevant project documents to be used as a reference point for current projects and as a learning resource for future projects. Leads tracking and reporting of roadmap activities, providing recommendations to program leads. Collaborates, liaisons with, and supports team members in all TJX operating regions. Scope of Responsibility: Supports the program management and reporting processes for executing Global Sourcing & Procurement's strategic capabilities program and roadmap. What you will need: Excellent project management skills, including structured project methodology (i.e. determining needs, researching existing programs, etc.); preparing and maintaining detailed development plans for projects; determining project specifications; understanding and applying principles of project control to launch and manage new initiatives and innovations. Demonstrated experience in the design and management of project documents. Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and deliver high-quality products under tight timelines. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence business partners, help prioritise activities and resources to meet the organisation's needs and build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with leadership and positively influence outcomes. Strong business writing skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely, respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, and write standard operating procedures and other business documents. Demonstrated management skills, including organisational, interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management and information-gathering skills. Ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions and revise business strategies to support the organisation's vision. People management skills, including coaching and providing feedback to team members. Experience with leading cross-functional activity. Basic understanding of Category Management, Purchasing and Supplier Management fundamentals. Minimum Qualifications: 5 - 7 years experience in project management, with a focus on larger cross-functional projects Formal Project Management accreditation PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent preferred Strong training & development skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Program/Project Management, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
