Our products are built on Windows .NET and SQL Server and managed in AWS. Our web Ux stack is built on jQuery and some areas use AngularJS. Our middle tier is in C# and we build our infrastructure on an extensive set of Restful APIs. We build native iOS and Android apps, and are starting to experiment with Flutter and Dart. For select infrastructure components we use Python extensively, and use Tableau for analytics dashboards. We use Redshift, Aurora, Redis Elasticache, Lambda, and other AWS products to build and manage our complete service, moving towards server-less components. We deal with billions of API calls, millions of records in databases, and terabytes of data to be managed with all services we build that have to run 24x7 at 99.99% availability. What You Will Be Doing : As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining key components of our platform. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions. Your responsibilities will include : - Design and Architecture : Designing and architecting robust and scalable components of our Zenoti platform, considering performance, reliability, and maintainability within the AWS environment. - Development and Maintenance : Developing high-quality code primarily in C# within the .NET framework, focusing on our middle-tier services and backend systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving existing components. - Database Expertise : Leveraging your deep understanding of SQL Server to design efficient database schemas, write optimized T-SQL queries and stored procedures, and ensure optimal database performance. - Collaboration : Collaborating closely with product managers to understand requirements, developers to implement solutions, and quality assurance engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality features. - Scalability and Performance : Building software with scalability in mind, ensuring our systems can handle 2x to 4x annual growth and effectively manage millions of records and terabytes of data. - Agile Practices : Actively participating in our agile development process (SCRUM), contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Deployment and Feedback : Participating in the monthly release cycle, deploying new features to production, and actively incorporating feedback from thousands of customers to refine our designs and improve our products. - Quality Obsession : Taking ownership of the quality of your work, ensuring code is well-tested, maintainable, and adheres to best practices. - Continuous Learning : Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development, particularly within the Microsoft .NET and AWS ecosystems. What Skills You Need : - Experience : 4 years of hands-on experience working with SQL Server in a production environment. - .NET Expertise : Proven experience in building and deploying products on the Microsoft .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core). - SQL Server Mastery : A deep and thorough understanding of SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, database design principles, indexing strategies, and query optimization for high-performance applications. - Logical and Analytical Skills : Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. - Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Fast-Paced Environment : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment and adapt to new challenges quickly. Bonus Points : - Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS Aurora, Redshift, Lambda, Elasticache). - Familiarity with RESTful API design and development. - Exposure to front-end technologies like jQuery and AngularJS. - Experience with mobile development (iOS, Android, Flutter/Dart). - Knowledge of Python for infrastructure scripting. - Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Tableau. - Understanding of serverless architectures and microservices. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
