Partner with the best The Lead Application Engineer - Centrifugal Compressor for LNG market leads the technical strategy of Baker Hughes offering in agreement with the project team/functions. She/he is the main technical interface between customer and Baker Hughes during the Inquiry To Order (ITO) phase. The key role of the CC AE is to translate customer’s needs, detailed in the RFQ (Request for Quotation), into the most competitive technical solution leveraging CC product portfolio and technology. As Lead Application Engineer - Centrifugal Compressor for LNG market, you will be responsible to: Prepare, manage and negotiate Baker Hughes technical proposal relevant to CC applications and eventually responsible for the estimation/accuracy of the budget associated with the proposed solution. Lead the definition of the technical strategy of the project thus influencing customer towards Baker Hughes solutions by properly accounting for competitors’ technical strengths and weaknesses versus Baker Hughes offering/capabilities. Prepare, within the required timeline, the most competitive technical proposal at first submission (i.e. including but not limited to the design/selection of compressor and his auxiliary systems) using ITO tools and following ITO policies and procedures, implementing, where appropriate, innovative technology (NPD). Apply product and quality policies, addressing and mitigating any risks as per Baker Hughes procedures. Lead the technical negotiation, coordinating with supporting functions and attending to meetings/presentations with customers. Hands-over the technical contract to execution team in case of award. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will have: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Relevant experience in Engineering, Application Engineering, Product management, Technical Sales, Customer Service or equivalent technical role. Fluency in English (spoken and written). Influence leadership skill & commercial acumen. Willingness to work on stretched deadlines with flexible time management. Ability to travel on short notice. Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills for preparing proposals, conducting meetings, answering sales/customer questions, and writing/explaining technical aspects with dedicated presentations. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams and initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
