Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the building, ensuring it is clean, safe, and fully operational. Conduct routine inspections of the building, facilities, and equipment to identify maintenance or repair needs. Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff and external contractors for repairs, renovations, and cleaning services. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules. Act as the primary point of contact for tenants regarding building issues, complaints, and requests. Ensure timely communication of maintenance schedules, building rules, and other relevant updates. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Implement and enforce safety protocols, including fire evacuation procedures and emergency response plans. Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure appropriate action is taken. Requirements: Qualifications: Building management, facilities management qualifications advantageous Experience and Knowledge: Proven experience in building or property management (sectional title experience advantageous). Strong understanding of sectional title regulations and property maintenance. Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with tenants, staff, and service providers. Problem-Solving: Ability to assess and resolve issues quickly and effectively. Customer Service: Focused on tenant satisfaction and resolving concerns professionally. Leadership: Capable of managing and motivating a team of staff or contractors. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Detail-Oriented: Attentive to details to ensure the building runs smoothly and efficiently. Adaptability: Comfortable handling unexpected challenges and adjusting plans as needed. Proactive Attitude: Takes initiative to address potential issues before they escalate. The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi time between 07h00 and 18h00. We are offering a market-related salary from R 25 000 Cost to Company per month salaries are dependent on experience, qualifications, skills and attributes.
