Logistics Planner

Americold is a global provider of temperature-controlled logistics. With locations throughout the Netherlands, we offer full coverage for food producers and manufacturers, supermarkets, foodservice providers, importers and exporters, and other food retailers. Our location at the Maasvlakte plays a crucial role in the import and export flows of food products, including warehouse planning and border inspections at our Border Control Point (BCP). We are looking for a Logistics Planner who thrives in a dynamic environment and makes a valuable contribution to our team. You'll receive a comprehensive onboarding program to ensure a structured start. Experience is important, but finding the right team fit is our top priority. Your Role as Logistics Planner You will play a key role in coordinating goods flows, including planning inbound and outbound shipments, organizing inspections at our Border Control Point, and maintaining contact with customers and freight forwarders. Your Responsibilities Warehouse planning: Coordinate inbound and outbound processes, taking storage capacity and transport planning into account. Border Control Point (BCP) coordination: Schedule and align inspections with the NVWA (Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority) and Customs. Customer and freight forwarder contact: Support import and export processes and handle questions about transport and inspections. Production and order planning: Ensure efficient goods flow by managing production orders and transport movements. Data processing in WMS and ERP systems: Ensure accurate input and processing of data in systems such as Boltrics. Problem solving and process optimization: Identify and address supply chain bottlenecks and contribute ideas for improvement. Seasonal trends and forecasting: Analyze historical data and adjust planning to expected peak periods. What We Expect from You Attention to detail: You work accurately and ensure all processes meet regulations and quality standards. Time management: You are good at setting priorities and meeting deadlines. Communication skills: You communicate effortlessly with customers, colleagues, and external parties. IT skills: Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and WMS/ERP systems such as Boltrics is a plus. Solution-oriented thinking: You identify issues and actively contribute to improvements. What You Bring Higher vocational education (HBO) level or equivalent professional experience and mindset. Experience in supply chain, warehouse planning, or import/export processes is a plus. Ideally you have good command of both Dutch and English. A team player with a proactive attitude and perseverance. Flexibility: You don’t have a 9-to-5 mentality.
