Job Description

A multi-award-winning developer has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the QS will be responsible for delivering the best quality projects across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire at the best possible cost. Key Responsibilities & duties include: Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works Subcontract procurement, agreement, payment and award Contract administration and cost control Attending and contributing to commercial/operations meetings as required Preparing valuations, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings Managing contract variations with sub-contractors Dealing with contractual issues from a commercial perspective Assisting with reporting on contract performance via monthly cost/value reconciliations Assisting with and agreeing client and sub-contract final accounts Core Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Company Car or Car Allowance Hybrid & Flexible working Significant bonus Share save scheme Up to 10% company pension contribution 34 days annual leave Contracted hours: 37.5 hours per week Large selection of other benefits-in-kind Excellent training opportunities Application Requirements: The successful applicant will currently be a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a mid-level Quantity Surveyor with the desire to develop their professional skills and progress. It is beneficial for applicants to have experience within a housing developer but it's not essential.
