Job Description

This is a really exciting time to join this small but rapidly expanding Pharma company. Having recently completed a funding round they are now ready to bring Finance In House. This role will support the transition and then take responsibility for the day to day running of the finance function. We are looking for someone part time (3 days a week). Our client has developed a world leading technology which is bringing excellent results for patients with complex conditions. They are small but expanding rapidly, this role will be the first dedicated accountant in the business. The Finance Manager will play a key role in bringing the Finance function In House. After that they will be responsible for: Financial transaction processing (purchasing and expenses). Invoice matching. An eye to automation would be beneficial. Sales invoicing to long-term CRO projects (unbundling revenue and invoicing in accordance with project plan delivery). This will entail close collaboration with the delivery team. Payroll processing Day-to-day treasury management within a framework agreed with the CFO Month-end close and reconciliation Monthly reporting (Excel and/or via Xero plug-ins) against forecast and budget The successful candidate will be a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA finance professional. This is a hands on role where you will need to operate with minimal supervision from the CFO. We are looking for someone who has worked in the Pharma world previously, who understands the requirements of finance in small but growing business. £60,000 to £70,000 full time equivalent EA First Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency for this permanent vacancy.
