Job Description Job Description Job Description Summary This role is perfect for someone seeking to work during the day (8 AM - 4 PM), Monday through Friday, and manage a caseload of 8 to 10 clients while facilitating 8 hours of group per week. Uphold and protect client rights and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and federal and California treatment facility regulations, ensuring a safe and respectful environment. B. Build meaningful connections through weekly individual sessions, daily group facilitation, and collaboration with families to foster a seamless continuum of care. C. Bring compassion and expertise to working with clients facing challenges like mental illness, substance abuse, and behavioral addictions, supporting their autonomy and well-being. D. Conduct thorough client assessments, including Brief Addiction Monitory (BAM) Inventory, and risk evaluations for relapse and self-harm. E. Be an active team player by participating in weekly clinical staff meetings, individual/triadic supervision, and collaborating with colleagues to provide the best care possible. F. Work closely with supervisors to address clinical or operational concerns, ensuring high standards of service. G. Document services promptly and effectively (within 72 hours) to meet Medical Necessity of Care and ASAM criteria, with continued training to enhance documentation skills. H. Step in with confidence to manage crises, providing stability and support when it’s needed most. I. Partner with clients in creating and updating personalized treatment plans throughout their journey with us. J. Communicate clearly and thoughtfully with clients, colleagues, and supervisors to foster understanding and collaboration. K. Utilize Microsoft programs and maintain accurate client charts in our electronic medical records system (KIPU. L. Monitor client progress, respond to changes in their condition, and take appropriate actions with care and professionalism. Qualifications Drug and Alcohol Counselor Certification (CADC/CATC) from an accredited agency (current and in good standing with CCAPP or CAADE). First aid, TB clearance, Health screen and CPR certification within 30 days of employment. Physical Requirements The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employees are required to talk or hear while on duty and frequently required to stand and walk. Often, the employee is required to sit and use a computer and/or reach with hands and arms.
