What to expect as a Commercial Security Technician III: Assist the Project Manager with on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment. Connect control panels, meet application requirements, conceal wiring, and install security software. Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise clients, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, and signaling devices. Troubleshoot new installations to ensure systems function properly and comply with codes. Demonstrate the core values as a skilled leader on the Installation Team. Supervise teams of Security Installation Technician I’s and II’s. Manage multiple medium- to large-sized jobs simultaneously within approved hours and margin tolerances. Drive to client sites with a company-issued vehicle to perform system installations and confirm systems operate effectively and meet contract requirements. Install electrical wiring, panels, cables, and security devices. Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the manager. Company Vehicle and Gas Card provided. REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE): Available for on-call rotation and overnight travel as needed. Minimum of five years of field experience installing and programming electronic security systems, including access control (Lenel, Genetec, CCURE), video management (Axis, Avigilon), intrusion detection (DMP, Bosch), and fire systems (Edwards, Notifier, Firelite, Silent Knight). Valid State Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than one accident in the last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in the last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle. High School Degree, Vocational School, or equivalent. Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and detail-oriented approach. Effective communication skills for interaction with internal and external customers; able to deliver product familiarization training to end-users. Proven track record of successfully loading servers with third-party applications and deploying IP video solutions. General working knowledge of network architecture. This role requires a senior-level professional with extensive experience in the commercial security industry. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE): NICET certification highly preferred. Manufacturer certifications in any of the following: Lenel, Genetec, CCURE, Axis, Avigilon, DMP, Bosch, Edwards (EST), Simplex, Notifier, Firelite.
