Requirements: Warehouseman should meet the following requirements: High school diploma and (3) years of experience in operating any of the following; Industrial Forklift Trucks or Heavy-Duty Overhead Bridge Cranes. Possess a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a PLUS. Or be willing to acquire one with company assistance. Experience with cargo and freight processes, i.e. loading and unloading, interrupting Pack List, Pick List and Bill of Ladings, is a plus. Ability to learn on the job. Which also includes MIOSHA safety and other training, coursework and passing applicable tests. Knowledge of basic computer skills, such as data entry, bar code scanning and using inventory management systems, is beneficial. Able to effectively communicate in a positive manner with team members using face to face (voice) and phone. Possess strong problem-solving skills. Able to perform daily timekeeping and labor posting of your hours. Must have a good driving record, less than 6 pts. in the past 7 yrs. No DUI’s or DWI’s. within past 15 yrs. Must be able to work in the USA, legally. Must be able to pass a drug test, which includes Marijuana. Responsibilities: Warehouseman Responsibilities: Accepting incoming orders, process pack list by counting and verifying quantities and ensuring orders are received complete. Check for damaged or missing items and then sort stock for storage in the warehouses Working with an associate, load and unload customer’s industrial raw materials, such as steel coils, bar stock, or palletized or crated products into or from trucks and/or rail cars, using Overhead Cranes and/or other moving equipment. Store and secure product in a timely manner. May perform a variety of other tasks relating to shipment of products such as securing or un-securing loads onto trailer. Move or consolidate customer’s industrial raw materials around warehouses or within a warehouse, storage yard, using industrial trucks, tractors, cranes and forklift trucks. Record such moves into an inventory mgt. system. Maintain customer’s inventory stored at our facilities, by verify and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory, using Pack List or Bill of Ladings, which includes physical counting of such. Physically, repack, buddle, band or palletize\crate customer’s inventory. Upon receiving your CDL, backup associates by occasionally driving a tractor-trailer combination with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) or more within 100 miles of Jackson, Mi. May be required to unload truck. Record your time daily to various jobs worked throughout the day, which includes recording equipment used for the same. Other related tasks as assigned by supervisor on occasions.
