Patient Access Representative

CornerStone Staffing has partnered with a customer that is a Major Hospital in the DFW area hiring Patient Access Representative. If you have 2 years of medical admin experience along with stable work history then we want to talk to you Job Title: Patient Access Representative Location: Dallas, TX Pay: $17 - $20/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Job Overview: Under general supervision, this role is responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance eligibility, and collecting patient liabilities in accordance with financial clearance policies. The representative will engage directly with patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure a smooth and supportive intake experience. Key Responsibilities: Conduct interviews to obtain patient demographics, insurance, and financial data Perform insurance verifications and determine coverage for anticipated services Calculate and collect patient financial responsibility; negotiate payment plans when needed Provide exceptional customer service during high-stress or emotional patient encounters Escort patients and assist with directions or mobility support as needed Maintain professionalism and compassion in sensitive situations Adhere to all compliance, safety, and patient identification protocols Requirements: 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (healthcare preferred) Must have 1 year experience working in physician's office/hospital doing insurance verifications required Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability Comfortable standing for extended periods Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications High level of empathy and professionalism, especially in high-pressure environments Bachelor’s Degree may be accepted in place of experience Application Process Includes: Drug testing Skills Testing Background check
