Vacancy: Commercial Vehicle Inspector (Jhb) THE EMPLOYER: A leading Online Auction platform Location: Samrand, Centurion Basic Salary range: R11 000.00 -R19 000.00 (depending on experience) Benefits: ER contributes a cash amount of R1498.00 to Medical Aid 10% to Pension Fund ER contributes to a Funeral Benefit for the main member Core Purpose of the Role The core purpose of this position is to accurately inspect vehicles and goods as required within the department. The role involves examining and assessing both the mechanical and cosmetic condition of passenger vehicles to ascertain the expenses needed for repairs. This information enables the client to recover these costs, and it also aids in accurately listing the vehicle for auction with its true value and condition. To excel in this job, you will need to have a high level of attention to detail and customer service. You will require the ability to build good relationships with customers and suppliers, acting professionally at all times. Requirements Academic Qualifications Essential: Matric/N3 Unendorsed drivers license. Work Experience Essential: Previous mechanical experience. 2 years valuation experience. Experience within the Motor Industry (advantage) Knowledge Essential: Read, write, and speak English. Understand traffic rules and regulations. Operation and understanding of smart devices (e.g., iPad, tablets, PCs, and phones). Inspect vehicles in accordance with company SOPs. Knowledge of the most efficient routes in and around the Gauteng area. Skills Essential: Must be able to operate and understand relevant measuring equipment. Must have knowledge/skills to identify defects in and on a vehicle and correctly note the fault that needs repair work. Must be able to apply correct interpretation of technical and cosmetic faults that fall outside of stipulated specifications of the manufacturer. Observe all safety and company rules. Good communication skills. Safety/security conscious. Adherence to time constraints and deadlines.
